	Puerto Escondido general orientation tour We provide orientation tours of Puerto Escondido and the surrounding area to give newcomers an overview of the area highlights and the services available. This tour is a great way to begin your stay. It gives you an idea of the places you might want to visit again to spend more time. It also provides you an overview of the services that will facilitate your life while you are here in Puerto Escondido. Full day and half-day tours available. Half-day tours cost $65 U.S. for one or two people plus $10 for each additional person. Full day tours cost $100 U.S. for one or two people plus $15 U.S. for each additional person. 			Rockclimbing excursions Rockclimbing excursions and lessons are available to introduce beginners to this exciting sport and to thrill seasoned aficionados. Climbing takes place on a 20-meter (60-foot) high granite escarpment with routes of various grades of difficulty. The rock wall is located just meters from the ocean so you can actually see the ocean and hear the splash of the waves as you climb the rock as well as while you wait your turn below. The views are quite breathtaking. Rockclimbing excursions leave Puerto Escondido early in the morning to assure that after the hour or so drive along the coast, you will arrive at the rock while the climbing area is still shaded. In the afternoon, the sun usually heats the rock and air to an uncomfortable level. When this happens, climbers usually retire to the shade of one of the nearby beach front restaurants to enjoy lunch and/or a cool beverage between taking dips in the ocean. Rockclimbing excursions are a full day trip and cost $120 U.S. for the first two people and $20 U.S. for each additional person. Lagoon and other excursions A variety of ecological tours and fun-day excursions are available*. You can visit hot springs, iguana sanctuaries, turtle museums, ancient ruins and/or mt. bike to waterfalls. Visit small local lagoons filled with mangroves, birds and crocodiles and take a guided cruise in a canoe or visit larger lagoons and power in a small launch through kilometers of bird filled mangroves to the ocean. Excursion durations and prices vary. They can be either half day or a full day depending on the excursion. Please contact us for specific excursions and details.
